Engineer Imad Muhammad Abdullah, General Manager of Al-Fao General Engineering Company, and Engineer Salem Abbas Ali, Assistant General Manager, visit the Jdeidet Al-Shatt Water Project in Diyala Governorate

 

Engineer Imad Muhammad Abdullah, Director General of the Al-Fao General Engineering Company, visited one of the formations of the Ministry of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works, and Engineer Salem Abbas Ali, Assistant Director-General of the Jdeidet Al-Shatt Water Project in Diyala Governorate, which is being implemented by the company for the benefit of the General Directorate of Water. With some technical notes, he met the executive staff at the work site and explained to them that these projects are vital and important because they are involved in providing drinking water to citizens who are in dire need of it.

The Director General confirmed the completion of this project within the specified contractual times or less than that, and stated that as soon as he assumed the position, he went to visit the water projects implemented by the company, including the Dujail water project in Salah al-Din Governorate and the Baghdadi water project in Anbar Governorate.The purpose of these visits were to stand In the field, the most important problems facing the implementation process and developing appropriate solutions to them, and urging workers to redouble efforts in order to accomplish them within the contractual timings or less than that.

 

His Excellency explained that the production capacity is (2000) cubic meters / hour.The project feeds the district of Jdeidet Al-Shatt and the surrounding villages. It includes supplying, installing, operating and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment, in addition to civil works, including:

1) Service buildings.

2) Equipment architectures.

3) Chlorine and alum basins and Purification and sterilization.

4) Extending a network of water pipes with a length of (33) km.
