Al-Fao Company: Construction Work Continues on the Al-Nil Subdistrict Hospital Project in Babylon Governorate
Al-Fao General Engineering Company—an entity under the Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Municipalities—has announced that its technical and engineering teams are continuing work on the Al-Nil Subdistrict Hospital project in Babylon Governorate. The project is being executed for the Ministry of Health (Babylon Health Directorate). The company’s Director General stated that completion rates are proceeding according to the established schedule, noting that current activities include reinforcement work for the perimeter fence, construction of the doctors' residence, and carpentry and formwork for the structural frame.
Project Technical and Structural Specifications
Area and Capacity: The project covers a total area of 8 *donums* and has a capacity of 50 beds. The main hospital building consists of five floors plus a basement and is equipped with nine modern electric elevators to facilitate the movement of patients and medical staff.
Therapeutic and Diagnostic Departments: The hospital includes a fully equipped emergency ward, an outpatient pharmacy, a central laboratory, a sterilization unit, and a radiology department.
Surgical and Maternity Care: The building houses operating theaters equipped for major and minor surgeries, as well as rooms for natural deliveries and Caesarean sections, supported by an advanced neonatal resuscitation unit.
Service and Environmental Systems: The project is equipped with modern central heating and cooling systems, medical gas networks, advanced fire suppression systems, and electrical grids, in addition to an environmental system for treating wastewater and medical waste.
