Engineer Ali Abdul-Hussein, Deputy General Manager of Al-Fao General Engineering Company, visits the project of building the Chaldean Patriarchate Church of Babylon in Baghdad

Engineer Ali Abdul-Hussein, Deputy General Manager of Al-Fao General Engineering Company, one of the formations of the Ministry of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works, visited the project of building the Chaldean Patriarchate Church of Babylon in Baghdad, which the company is implementing for the benefit of the Ministry's Buildings Department.

 

He was briefed on the field on the reality of the ongoing work in the project and praised the great efforts made by the executive staff after reviewing the work progress program, and directed some technical observations related to the project.

 

In addition, he stressed the need to double efforts in order to accomplish it in less than the contractual period required by the Christian endowment for this building in order to perform religious rituals.

 

His Excellency indicated that this project includes the rehabilitation of three buildings, namely:

1) Building (A) consisting of two floors and containing the residence of the Patriarchs and his assistants، a hall for receiving guests، and another hall (the cable) for holding rituals and religious events.

2) Building (B) includes administrative and service offices.

3) Building (C) that includes a religious school, classrooms, and a theater, in addition to service buildings, electrical, sanitary, and mechanical works.

 

On the other hand, Engineer Muhannad Kamel, the project manager, mentioned that the current works are:

1) Flooring.

2) Secondary ceilings.

3) The external site (leveling and defining sidewalk paths).

4) Preparing the work for the purpose of initiating sanitation work.

 

He stated that the following works have been accomplished:

1) Electrical installations.

2) Central cooling.

3) Water tanks.

 

He added that the current completion rate of the project is (74%) and the total cost of the project is nine billion Iraqi dinars.

Mr. Associate was accompanied on this tour by Eng. Elham Rikan, Director of Projects Department in the company.
