Chaired By Engineer Ya'rab Al-Awad... Al-fao Engineering Company Sets A Roadmap To Reduce Expenditures And Accelerate Implementation

❇️ Engineer Ya'rab Qahtan Al-Awad, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Fao General Engineering Company (a division of the Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Municipalities), chaired the second regular meeting of the Board of Directors on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

❇️ The meeting began with a thorough review of the minutes of the previous meeting and the progress in implementing its decisions. The Board then reviewed the portfolio of projects currently underway in Baghdad and the provinces. In this context, the Chairman stressed the importance of strict adherence to contractual timelines and schedules, emphasizing that timely project delivery is a top priority for the company.

❇️ On the organizational front, the Board gave special attention to Cabinet Resolution No. (11) of 2026 concerning rationalizing and reducing expenditures. A specialized committee was formed to review financial procedures to ensure the highest levels of efficiency and minimize waste, in accordance with government directives.

❇️ The meeting discussed the results of the field visits conducted by the Director General and senior staff to work sites. These visits aimed to overcome technical obstacles and directly address on-site problems to ensure uninterrupted operations.

❇️ The Board concluded its session by reviewing the technical performance reports of the Machinery and Production Department, as well as assessing the company's administrative, financial, oversight, and legal status. A number of decisions were made to strengthen Al-Fao Company's institutional position and improve its operational mechanisms
